Hello and welcome to my
blog. This is a compilation of both my traditional and digital fine
art work. I am a freelance artist living and working in the Glasgow
area. Since graduating from art school in 1991 I have been involved
in a wide variety of artistic projects, ranging from portraiture to
large scale mural
installations. I became interested in the creative possibilities of computing
around the year 2000 and have been fascinated by the digital medium adding it to my repertoire.
I have worked on a number of commercial projects that have been
broadcast on national television.
I have also been
fortunate to work as an Associate Lecturer at the University of the
West of Scotland teaching aspects of the 3D Computer Animation
undergraduate course.

This and the following three images are of a commission I did whilst
in Bern, Switzerland for a large department store named Loeb. They asked me to create
three large scale murals on wooden panels for their christmas display. They included reproduction
of part of Sistine Chapel by Michelangelo and "Where Do We come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?" by Paul Gauguin.
"The Tree of Fogiveness" originally by Edward Burns-Jones.
Large scale approximately 200cm x 95cm
I made this reproduction in pastel on paper as a street painting whilst I
travelled around Europe as a backpacker, it was sold and framed when I returned to Glasgow.
It was while drawing on the street in Bern
that I was approached by the head of the art department of Loeb who invited me
for lunch and subsequently commissioned me to create part of their
Christmas display.
Thank You for taking the time to view my work.
I am constantly working on new projects and will upload new work upon completion,
so please vist agin.
I can be contacted via the email link in the contacts page.
